Kids build confidence and sharpen their math skills while having fun with math.​​

6th Grade boot camp

For incoming 6th graders entering 6th grade math.

Students entering middle school need a deep understanding of 5th grade math skills and concepts to be prepared for 6th grade math.  Build mastery of foundational 5th grade skills and reinforce conceptual understanding to be ready for the new demands of middle school math.

Monday through Thursday for two weeks

​COMPACTED 7/8 boot camp

For incoming 6th and 7th graders entering Compacted 7/8 (or 7th grade math).

Students entering Compacted 7/8 need a solid command of 6th grade math, with procedural fluency as well as the ability to apply concepts to problem solving.  Build mastery of foundational 6th grade skills and concepts to be prepared to handle the pace and rigor of a compacted curriculum.

Monday through Thursday for two weeks

COMPACTED 8/ALGEBRA 1 BOOT CAMP

For incoming 7th and 8th graders entering Compacted 8/Algebra 1 (or 8th grade math).

This class builds mastery of the most important math skills and concepts in CC7/8 to prepare students for Compacted 8/Algebra 1.  Focus is on fluency with proportional reasoning, rational numbers and integer operations, linear relationships, probability, and geometry.

ALGEBRA REFRESHER

​For students entering Algebra 2.

If you're entering Algebra 2 in the fall, you'll face a very fast-paced and rigorous curriculum that introduces lots of new information.  For most students, it's been more than a year since they studied Algebra 1.  Spend two weeks this summer reviewing Algebra 1 skills and concepts to be ready to confidently tackle Algebra 2 in the fall.  (Can be combined with our Intro to Algebra 2 class below.)
